I tried to build a frame that would look similar to the bezel that DEC used on the PDP-8/e, f and m. Essentially, it's a 'shadow box' frame made with a profile similar to the one DEC used, deep enough to hold an FP6120 with an SBC6120, IOB6120 and hard drive mounted. I drew out a pattern and had the local millwork shop run me some moulding, at around $4 a foot. The four sides are joined with miter joints, two of them permanently fixed with glue and dowels and the other two with countersunk screws. I used a jigsaw to make cut-outs for the IOB6120 ports, CompactFlash card and drilled a hole for the power cord. The whole thing was then painted an off-white, kind of light putty color.
Sorry for the blurriness of the photos - no tripod was handy.
